Útúrdúr presents another realease party of new issues of Somemilk!!
Somemilk is a small booklet which offers a white space to visual artists, writers and creative people in general. The artists are free to do anything they would like, within the borders of the format - a specially folded, black and white A3, 2 sided print. The goal of the project is to explore the many possibilities of printed matter.
Founded in 2005, there have been 13 issues published to date. The project has been Berlin based and is now evolving to encompass Reykjavik and Amsterdam as well.
The new issues, #14 and #15 were produced in Reykjavik. issue #14 is created by Bryndís Björnsdóttir who is currently living in Vienna and studying at the Academie der bildenden künste Wien, she also study´s at The Iceland academy of the art and lives in Reykjavik. Bryndis has participated in various exhibitions and cultural activities and this is her second bookwork she publishes. Issue #15 is created by Bergur Thomas Andersen who study´s at the Icelandic academy of the arts. Bergur is also a member of the band Sudden Weather Change and also plays solo as Stormy Curves.
